XDD

Hi:

I know that XDD is recommended on only 5% of the computers withing a subnet because it generate siginificant traffic on the network.  My question is, how big of an impact does XDD have on the computer?  Does it use alot of system resources, HW/SW.  Our network is pretty good, I'm concern about our workstations since they only have 256MB or RAM.
