First off, long time listener, first time caller here.....former SMS/SCCM guy with a new position as a LANDesk admin and I have learned a ton about the software just by reading these forums. Thanks for that. Now on to my issue....
I am trying to push an agent configuration to a workstation. The target machine is Windows XP SP3. LANDesk is 8.8 SP4. The agent push works fine on almost every other workstation. The account used for the install has both domain admin and local admin rights on the client. The scheduled task runs and the machine ends up showing as"Successful" group, however, I am getting the above error in the results column. The device doesn't list any agent configuration name in its inventory. However I can run an inventory on the machine, so the agent looks like it is at least partially installed.
Attached is a copy of the ScheduledTaskHandler log for the push task. Also attached is a screenshot of a relevant MsiInstaller error from the client's event log that indicates whatever is trying to install the multicast service is corrupt. But, like I said, this same task/package works fine on other clients.
Any help or insight anyone might be able to provide on this issue would be appreciated.
