I'm looking for some advice regarding the agent deployment, as lots of people seem to have different views. We have rolled out LANDesk 9 clients to the majority of our estate via scheduled tasks. Some used the advanced agent and some used the full client installation (depending on bandwidth). I'd like to set up a GPO to catch the rest of the machines and any new machines introduced to the domain.
I read that using the advanced agent msi is the best way to do it, but it seems that if I do that, any agent that was rolled out using the full client will be re installed. Can you confirm that this is the case? If so are there any other tricks to doing it?
I'm a a noob to LANDesk and scripting, so it will probably need to be reasonably simple.
